TRANSFORMERS KIOSK
THE TRANSFORMER KIOSK CONSISTS OF THREE
COMPARTMENTS :
• Medium voltage compartment :
Equipped with Air Ring Main Unit.
• Transformer compartment :
This compartment is designed to enclose 3 phase
transformer with power up to 1500KVA
and voltage up to 24KV. The transformer is
connected to the ring main unit through XLPE
cables and to the low voltage switchboard
through cables or copper bus bars.
This compartment is provided with two doors
in both sides.
• Low voltage compartment :
Equipped with low voltage switchboard.
The main incoming is usually a circuit breaker
with thermal and magnetic protection according
to the transformer rating. Different outgoing
feeders are available as circuit breakers, fused
switches, and contactors.
RING MAIN UNITS
The Ring Main Unit (RMU) is designed to provide reliable and efficient medium-voltage power distribution for systems operating at 12kV.
This RMU is equipped with high-quality ELTOM Load Break Switches, engineered to ensure safe and precise switching under normal load conditions.

RW-3 POLE INDOOR LOAD BREAK SWITCH
• The load break switches are designed to turn
on and off currents (Voltage 11-24KV).
• RW type load break switch can be used with
earthing switch (top or bottom).
• The permanent contacts are made of copper
flat, covered with a layer of silver.
• During the shut down process arc quenching
occurs at the arcing contact.
• Quenching occurs due to the compressed air
outlet, through a nozzle
(automatically when opening).
